1964-2024 : CSL celebrates its 60th anniversary
A look back over the past 60 years highlights some of the major projects conducted within this expertise center at the University of Liège, located in the heart of the Liège Science Park.

ince 1964, the Centre Spatial de Liège has been an applied research centre focused on the design of space observation instruments. In addition, the CSL has a state-of-the-art environmental test centre serving the European Space Agency (ESA), the space industry and regional companies.
For its 60th anniversary, the CSL is expanding its facilities, which will further strengthen its position as a recognized European center of expertise in optical calibration for future large-scale ESA missions.
