For more than 50 years, CSL has developed a high level expertise in the design and analysis of Space Environmental test set-up. From the thermal tent to the vibration mechanical interface, the design is proposed to fully comply with Customer’s need and to perfectly reproduce the required Space Environment.
CSL is internationally recognized in the qualification/calibration of optical payloads under Space environment since the early 70’s according to the famous sentence “Test as you fly” and, for years, has been an “ESA-coordinated facility”.
CSL performs qualifications on satellites, space instruments or units by submitting them to environmental space conditions in a perfect clean environment (ISO7 to ISO5).
The challenge for CSL is to reproduce on ground space conditions and deep cold space all around the instrument or satellite, if required by the mission. Dedicated hardware are designed and built to answer to these requirements
