CSL design space instruments and perform optical simulation to predict performances.

O

ptical design is among the first task to be performed in the frame of an instrument development. The performances requirement defines high level specifications for the optical system, which then drives other aspects such as the mechancis. CSL is experienced in designing different types of optical system and is able to follow up for the alignment and testing. In addition, CSL performs various simulations for optical system. It goes from simulating stray-light to investigating alignment methods by simulating the process in optical softwares. Our experience ranges on both imaging and non-imaging sytems using conventional optical softwares. In addition, we use Fourier Optics to simulate system in specific situations, for example when considering speckle in optical instruments.
