Material & processes
In support to space instrumentation development, CSL engineers can also manage material and processes qualification following ECSS standards.
T
his includes various measurements on samples (reflectivity, roughness, electrical conductivity, adhesion…), thermal cycling, climatic environment exposure and, with the support of IPNAS (ULiege) or other Universities, radiation exposure. CSL engineers are also following closely the development and the application in space instruments of additive manufacturing by participating in research projects where all aspects are investigated, from design to verification.
