COE rooms
The C.O.E (Check-Out-Equipment) rooms are located outside the clean rooms, adjacent to them. They are dedicated to the customer's EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) of the test specimens.
The sizes of these rooms are as follows:
|
Focal 6.5/3 COE |
Focal5 COE |
- length : |
12.84 m |
8.96 m |
- width : |
4.70m |
6.4 m |
- height : |
2.97 m |
3.31 m |
The temperature is controlled and adjustable.
The electrical power (220VAC, 50Hz) is distributed by rails fixed on the ceiling. The number of connections is not limited but the maximum total power is 40A/3 phases.
A duct between the clean room and the C.O.E room allows the electrical connections to the test specimen installed in the vacuum chamber.
The grounding connections have to be made on copper bars (1000*80*10 mm3 for the Focal5 COE and 1760*100*10 mm3 for the Focal 6.5/3 COE) located on both sides of the wall between the C.O.E room and the clean room. The grounding resistivity is 0.35 Ohm.
The C.O.E rooms and a part of the clean room can be supplied by a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply);
- Power available for customer: 60KVA
- Output :230 VAC, 3 phases
- Autonomy on battery : 20 minutes at full load
- Loader/battery/inverter type
The CSL UPS has a capacity of 400 [kVA] for the overall needs of CSL and customers.
60 [kVA] are available for the customer.
In case of disturbance on the power-line longer than 20 seconds, a power generator is automatically started.
So, UPS is only used for 20 seconds and, after that, the power generator takes over.
Two tanks (Diesel) for the power generator are installed : a nominal one of 1200 liters and a spare one of 500 liters.
If the total capacity of the UPS (400 [kVA]) is used, an autonomy of about 12 hours is reached with the nominal tank.
The sensible equipments put on the no-break are the command room, COE, EGSE, liquefier in the clean room.
