Thermal vacuum cycling setup

Maximum temperature range: 80K to 423K.

Our thermal cycling setup consists of a cryostat, supplied with liquid nitrogen via a cryogenic electro-pneumatic valve, a copper interface and a sample holder with two heaters of 5ohms.

This set up is used in a vacuum chamber equipped with a turbomolecular and a mechanical pump. A Pirani and a Penning gauges give the pressure in the vessel.

The regulation is done by NI modules, MC module and homemade program with Labview 8.2 (FieldPoint 5.0.1).

There are eight independents channels of regulation (PWM mode). The regulation control is done via temperature sensors: until eight PT100 and four thermocouples could be used.
