TransNetAero (Transnational Network for Aerospace) is a network of organisations in six European aerospace regions and small countries which are going to work together and share their resources so that aerospace industry suppliers in each of them can get expert support and knowledge from the others to help them be better prepared to succeed against global scale competition. The participants are Wallonia (Belgium), Normandy (France), Baden-Württemberg (Germany), the Netherlands, Switzerland and the Midlands (United Kingdom).

What is TransNetAero?

The Centre Spatial de Liège is part of TRANSNETAERO, a network of Clusters and Research organizations, in six “European Aerospace Regions”. That initiative is supported by the European Union (Interreg IVB North-West Europe program).

The aim of the project is to give, to the industrial & research organizations in each involved region, a better access to:

  • knowledge about the business and technology requirements of new customers in a variety of aerospace sectors
  • technology and innovation expertise at specialist European aerospace research and development institutes
  • specialist skills and training bringing together the best available across Europe

TransNetAero partners

TransNetAero partners are a self-selecting group which recognises they will benefit from closer collaboration with each other to the benefit of their respective supply chain companies:

  • important European aerospace clusters "hidden" behind other industries (eg automotive) in their regions.
  • German Aerospace Academy (DE)
    • Forum Aerospace BW
    • Steinbeis University Berlin (SHB)
    • Industry Association of BW
  • Swiss Aerospace Cluster (CH)
